TEC Internship Scheme

The ‘TEC Internship Scheme’ intends to engage 25 Interns in order to study/formulate/operationalize/assess various works/projects/policies etc. The internship will provide an opportunity for young scholars to contribute to the TEC work and have insight into the related technical work.

विवरण

The ‘TEC Internship Scheme’ by the Telecommunication Engineering Centre (TEC), Department of Telecommunications, New Delhi intends to engage 25 Interns in order to study/formulate/operationalize/assess various works/projects/policies etc. The internship Programme will allow young talent to be associated with the TEC work for mutual benefit. It will enable TEC to interact with young scholars and get fresh ideas and study/ research support from academics. At the same time, it will provide an opportunity for young scholars to contribute to the TEC work and have insight into the related technical work.

Number of Interns

The number of Interns will be 25.
NOTE: The number is provisional and may vary as per the actual requirements at the time of finalisation of the selection.

Duration

The period of engagement initially will be for 6 (six) months, extendable to 12 months, if required.
NOTE: An extension beyond six months shall be permitted, on the application of the intern duly recommended by the concerned Head of Division and with the approval of the Head of TEC.

लाभ

Token Amount The interns will be paid a token amount of ₹15,000/- per month. Certificate The Interns will be issued a Certificate at the end of the internship

पात्रता

The applicant should be a citizen of India.
The applicant should be studying at a recognized university in India or abroad.
The applicant should be studying in the 3rd/ 4th year (Final or pre-final year) in Bachelor's Degree course in Electronics/ Communications/ Telecommunication/ Radio/ Information Technology/ Computers / Electrical Engineering or related discipline and secured a minimum of 60% marks.
OR
The applicant should have completed the Bachelor's Degree course in Electronics/ Communications/ Telecommunication/ Radio/ Information Technology/ Computers/ Electrical Engineering or a related discipline course in the last year with a minimum of 60% marks.
OR
The applicant should have completed Post Graduate/Master's Degree courses in Electronics/ Communications/ Telecommunication/ Radio/ Information Technology/ Computers/ Electrical Engineering or related discipline courses in the last year with minimum 60% marks.

Reservation/Preference/Priority/Relaxation

The qualifications may be relaxed in deserving cases based on the needs of the TEC, on the recommendations of the Selection Committee and approval of the Head of TEC.
Candidates having exposure in the area of intended internship with good academic background and having higher qualifications, based on need shall be given preference.

NOTE: Possessing the minimum qualifications above shall not guarantee an Internship in TEC.

Offline

The applications may be submitted either through online link available on TEC website (www.tec.gov.in) or send their duly filled application in the prescribed Proforma along with other required documents by post or submit personally to the Assistant Director General (Pers.), Telecommunication Engineering Centre, K. L. Bhawan, Janpath, New Delhi-110001via speed post to on or before 14/12/2025. Delayed / incomplete applications will be rejected summarily.

Can I Apply For The Internship If I Have Completed A Master's Degree?: Yes, candidates who have completed a Post Graduate/Master Degree course in relevant disciplines within the last one year with a minimum of 60% marks are eligible to apply.
Is There Any Chance Of Getting Hired After The Internship: The internship is not a job guarantee, but exceptional interns may be considered for future opportunities based on their performance and TEC's requirements.
Can Interns Present Their Work At Academic Events: Yes, with prior permission from TEC, interns can present their work at academic bodies, seminars, and conferences.
What Is The Selection Process For The Internship?: After eligibility screening, shortlisted candidates will go through a selection committee process, which may include a personal or telephonic interview.
How Will The Interns Be Supervised?: Interns will be attached to officers in various TEC divisions, and their work will be monitored through periodic interactions.
What Should Interns Do At The End Of The Internship?: Interns must submit a report on their work to the respective division, signed by the concerned officer, to receive a completion certificate.
Is Owning A Laptop Necessary For The Internship?: Yes, interns are required to have their own laptops. However, TEC will provide necessary workspace and internet facilities.
Can Interns Interact With The Media During The Internship?: No, interns are not allowed to interact with the media or reveal confidential information related to TEC/DoT's work and policies.
Can I Apply For The Internship If My Marks Are Below 60%: The minimum eligibility requirement is 60% marks, but TEC may consider relaxation based on the candidate's potential and need.
Will I Receive Any Remuneration During The Internship: Yes, selected interns will receive a monthly token remuneration of ₹15,000.
