Scholarships for Top Class Education for students with Disabilities, DNH & DD

The Scholarship for Top Class Education for Students with Disabilities, DNH & DD provides financial assistance to students with disabilities pursuing Graduate and Post-Graduate Degree/Diploma courses in Institutes of Excellence notified by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, New Delhi. The scheme covers tuition fees up to ₹1.90 lakh per annum, maintenance allowance, book allowance, computer/laptop support, assistive devices, and special allowances related to disabilities. Students with annual family income up to ₹8 lakh are eligible.

• Reimbursement of admission and tuition fees up to ₹1.90 lakh per annum.
• Maintenance allowance: ₹3,000 per month for day scholars and ₹1,500 per month for hostellers.
• Book allowance of ₹5,000 per annum.
• One-time laptop/computer grant up to ₹45,000 in the first year.
• One-time assistive devices grant up to ₹30,000.
• Special disability-related allowances such as reader, escort, or helper allowance up to ₹2,000 per month

• Applicant must be a student with disability.
• Must be pursuing Graduate or Post-Graduate Degree/Diploma courses.
• Course should be in Institutes of Excellence notified by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, New Delhi.
• Applicant’s annual family income should not exceed ₹8 lakh.
• Student should meet admission criteria of the respective institution.

• Visit the official scholarship portal or contact the concerned Social Welfare Department of DNH & DD.
• Fill in the scholarship application form with accurate personal, academic, disability, and bank details.
• Upload or attach the required documents, such as:
• Disability Certificate issued by the competent authority
• Domicile Certificate of DNH & DD
• Income Certificate
• Aadhaar Card
• Admission Letter/Bonafide Certificate from the institution
• Previous qualifying examination mark sheet
• Fee Receipt
• Bank Passbook copy
• Passport-size photograph
• Ensure admission is taken in a recognized institution for higher education.
• Submit the completed application form before the prescribed last date.
• The application and documents will be verified by the institution and concerned department.
• After approval, the scholarship amount will be transferred directly to the student’s bank account.
