National Productivity Council (NPC) provides internship training to students pursuing graduation and post-graduation. The interns shall be given exposure to related interventions being activities undertaken by NPC which will provide opportunities to learn and implement new concepts.

Details

The National Productivity Council (NPC) of the Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion Ministry of Commerce & Industry provides internship training to students pursuing graduation and post-graduation. The interns shall be given exposure to related interventions being activities undertaken by NPC’s which will provide opportunities to learn and implement new concepts as well as develop new skills and gain a deeper understanding of IT-enabled interventions through the hands-on application of the knowledge students learned during their course curriculum.

Areas

Industrial Engineering (IE), Environment Management(EN), Energy Management(EM), Agribusiness Services(AB), Economic Services(ES), Information Technology (IT) and Advanced Manufacturing & Industry 4.0.

Duration

  1. The internship duration shall be for a period of two months.
  2. The internship program shall be effective from the first week of June.
  3. The internship period may be extendable, if required, on an individual case-to-case basis for a further mutually agreed duration.

Benefits

  • Certificate The interns will be issued an internship completion certificate upon successful completion and submission of the full project report. Logistics & Support NPC shall provide them with working space with an internet facility and other necessities as deemed fit by the concerned reporting authorities. NOTE: The Interns will be required to bring their own laptops. Boarding & Lodging The Interns will be required to make their own arrangements towards transportation. Remuneration The selected interns shall not be entitled to any financial remuneration/stipend during their internship period. No payment towards a stipend, transportation etc. shall be paid to the interns by NPC

Certificate

  1. The applicant should be a citizen of India.
  2. The applicant should not already have applied for the internship before in the current financial year.
  3. The applicant should be a student pursuing graduation and post-graduation studies.

  1. Strong editing, written and oral communication skills.
  2. Strong interpersonal skills.
  3. Proactive technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  4. Knowledge and understanding of learning patterns and strong Research and networking for generating quality learning material.
  5. Knowledge of current and emerging eLearning tools and applications.
  6. Expertise in graphics creation for classroom-based training, online training, and websites.

Desired Skills

  1. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook), Adobe Photoshop and/or Adobe In Design
  2. Proficient in graphic designing tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Corel Draw, Illustrator, Ink Shape & related software knowledge
  3. Proficient in programming, data/ content management, and website development with Java, .NET, JavaScript or HTML/DHTML.
  4. The overall work may also include leveraging leading technologies like SAS, Big Data, Hadoop, Hive, Pig, Python, SQL, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Data Annotation Services.

A5. Interns are required not to disclose any proprietary or confidential information relating to the services, contract, or business operations of NPC or its clients during or after the internship period without seeking prior written consent from NPC.

A6. If an intern violates the non-disclosure agreement, NPC may take necessary action to safeguard its interests and the interests of the Council.
Q7. Can NPC Terminate An Intern's Engagement Or Program During The Internship?
A7. Yes, NPC has the authority to terminate an intern's engagement or program at any time, especially in cases of misconduct or discipline, without providing any reason. NPC's decision in this regard is considered final.
Q8. Can Interns Voluntarily Leave The Internship Program?
A8. Yes, interns can voluntarily leave the internship program by giving prior notice of seven (07) working days to the concerned Head. However, if an intern leaves the program voluntarily, they will not be awarded a certificate.
Q9. Does The Internship Program Guarantee Employment With NPC?
A9. No, the internship program is not a guarantee of employment with NPC. It is solely an opportunity for learning and gaining practical experience.
Q10. What Happens If NPC Discovers Any Material Error In An Intern's Application?
A10. If NPC discovers a material error in an intern's application or resume at any point in time, the internship offer may be deemed null and void in NPC's opinion.

A11. No, interns are not allowed to take any information about NPC's software, hardware, database, and policies outside the organization, whether in electronic form or otherwise.
