Details

The Widow B.Ed Scheme provides financial assistance to widowed or divorced women who are enrolled in B.Ed courses at teacher training institutions located in the state of Rajasthan. The state government reimburses the fees for these courses, thereby offering support to these women.

Eligibility

  1. Women who have enrolled in B.Ed courses in the state during the academic years 2015-16 and onwards are eligible. However, those who have completed the B.Ed course in previous years are not eligible.
  2. Applicants must attach a self-certified copy of the husband's death certificate if widowed, or a certified copy of the divorce decree issued by a competent court if divorced. Divorce settlements based on mutual agreement are not valid.
  3. A notarized affidavit on non-judicial stamp paper must be submitted, stating the following: (a) Husband's name in case of widowhood, (b) Names of both the applicant and her husband, as well as her father's name, (c) Date of husband's death in case of widowhood, (d) Date of divorce decree in case of divorce, (e) A clear statement that the applicant has not remarried.

Exclusions

Women who have completed the B.Ed course in previous years are not eligible.

Applications can be submitted online. Required documents include: 1. Self-certified copy of the previous year's exam marksheet. 2. Self-certified copy of the fee payment receipt. 3. Self-certified copy of the domicile certificate issued by a competent authority. 4. Certificate proving widowhood/divorce. 5. Verified copy of the Aadhar card. 6. Bhamashah card (mandatory for online application). 7. An affidavit stating that the applicant is not receiving benefits from any other scholarship or scheme.
