The Vahan Akasmat Sahay Yojana was introduced in the 2018-19 budget of the Gujarat state to provide treatment to accident victims regardless of their economic status, state, or nationality. It mandates that all government, trust, and private hospitals in Gujarat must offer immediate treatment to these individuals within the first 48 hours following an accident.
