The scheme "Transgender Utthan Kosh - Self Employment Programme for Transgender" was launched by the Social Justice and Empowerment Department, Government of Rajasthan, with the aim of providing financial support for self-employment or business establishment to transgender individuals, promoting their economic independence.
Under the scheme, transgender persons aged between 21 and 50 years are eligible to take a loan from any nationalized or cooperative bank to set up their self-employment or business. The loan amount may be revised by the state government from time to time. The benefit of the scheme is available to a transgender person only once.
Benefits
- - Financial Assistance: 25% of the total business cost or ₹50,000/- (whichever is lower) for self-employment/business establishment.- Loan Support: The beneficiary must secure a loan from a nationalized/cooperative bank to avail of the grant.- One-Time Benefit: The assistance is available only once per individual. Eligibility
- The applicant should be a resident of Rajasthan.
- The applicant should be a transgender person.
- The applicant should be between 21 and 50 years of age.
- The applicant should secure a loan from a nationalized/cooperative bank.
- The gross annual income of applicant should not exceed ₹8,00,000/-.
- Each transgender individual can avail the benefits of this scheme only once.

Application Process
Offline
Step 1: The interested applicant should visit (during office hours) the Social Justice and Empowerment Office and request a hard copy of the prescribed format of the application form from the staff exclusively entrusted to issue and collect filled-in application.
Step 2: In the application form, fill in all the mandatory fields and attach copies of all the mandatory documents (self-attest, if required).
Step 3: Submit the duly filled and signed application form along with the documents to the Social Justice and Empowerment Office.
Step 4: Request a receipt or acknowledgment from the Social Justice and Empowerment Office to whom the application has been submitted.
Note 1: After a transgender person takes a loan from any nationalized / cooperative bank, on the basis of loan approval, the District Magistrate will deposit the grant amount in the loan account of the transgender person.
Note 2: The applicant will receive the said amount only on the condition that he starts the related business and gets its physical verification done by the related lending agency.
