The scheme “State Level Sports Awards” was launched by the Department of Sports, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to recognize and honor players and coaches from Uttarakhand who have achieved remarkable success at the national and international levels in sports.
Benefits
- Under this scheme in recognition of the remarkable success achieved by players and coaches of the state at the national and international levels the following awards are conferred: Khel Ratna (1 player – ₹5.00 lakh)
- Himalaya Ratna (6 players – ₹1.00 lakh per player) and Dronacharya Award (2 coaches – ₹3.00 lakh per coach)
