The scheme “Special Basic Mountaineering Course” is implemented by the Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board under the Department of Tourism, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to enhance mountaineering skills among youth, prepare them to become certified guides, and promote adventure tourism in Uttarakhand.

Eligibility

  1. The applicant must be a youth of Uttarakhand.
  2. Preference will be given to candidates who have completed the Low Altitude Guide Course from a recognized institution or an Adventure Foundation Course run by DTDC.

The total number of 25 beneficiaries will be selected.


Application Process

Offline

  • Applicants must complete the prescribed application form and submit it along with the required documents to the office of the District Tourism Development Officer.
  • Upon completion of the tests, the District Tourism Development Officer will forward the list of shortlisted candidates to the headquarters.
  • Final selection of participants will be made by a committee constituted at the headquarters.
