Online
Before obtaining permission for film production, the producer must apply online on the "Single Window System" portal at https://investuttarakhand.uk.gov.in/filmshooting. While submitting the application, the producer must attach the Aadhaar Card, synopsis of the film, Registration Certificate/GST of the production house, or, in the case of a line producer handling the production, an authorization letter for the line producer, along with the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) form filled online.
Once the department grants permission, a copy of the Film Shooting Permission Certificate is automatically sent to the relevant departments through the portal. The list of departments is as follows:
- Office of the District Magistrate
- Senior Superintendent of Police / Superintendent of Police
- Concerned DFO/Ranger/Forest Officer
- Concerned Kotwali / Police Station / Outpost In-charge
If the film is to be shot in a centrally operated forest area, the Film Development Council corresponds with the Chief Conservator of Forests (CCF) and the concerned Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) for the issuance of a No Objection Certificate.
Permission for film shooting is also provided to the filmmaker free of cost within 14 days through email at ufdc2015@gmail.com.
