"Scheme to Provide Special Financial Assistance for Organizing Cultural Events" is a Grant-In-Aid to the NGOs designed to provide financial support to institutions, cultural groups and individuals to organize/conduct various types of Cultural Events/Programmes/ Exhibitions/Festivals/Workshops. This scheme intends to give opportunity to young Goan artists to develop their talents, so also to give opportunity to the artists as well as the general public to witness various standard cultural performances/Events/Exhibitions/Festivals/ Workshops.
Objectives
- To encourage Cultural Events/Programmes/Exhibitions/Festivals/Camps/Workshops.
- To give financial support to cultural groups or individuals to organize cultural events.
- To give opportunity to young Goan artists to develop their talent.
लाभ
- 1. Financial grant maximum upto ₹5 00 000or 80% of the expenditure incurred for organizing the cultural events whichever is less based on the nature of the cultural events. 1. However in the case where the Directorate of Art & Culture suo-moto identifies any institution or group or individual person to organize any Cultural Event/Programme/Exhibition/Festival/Camp & Workshop for the Department of Art & Culture then the grant a maximum upto ₹5 00 000or 100% of the expenditure incurred for organizing the event whichever is less shall be granted for this purpose. [ NOTE: The applicant shall get the financial grant to the extent decided by the Department of Art & Culture/ Government based on the nature and scope of the proposed cultural event and the reputation standing and eligibility of the applicant.]
- Financial grant maximum upto ₹ 5,00,000 or 80% of the expenditure incurred for organizing the cultural events, whichever is less, based on the nature of the cultural events. 1. However, in the case where the Directorate of Art & Culture suo-moto identifies any institution or group or individual person to organize any Cultural Event/Programme/Exhibition/Festival/Camp & Workshop for the Department of Art & Culture then the grant a maximum upto ₹ 5,00,000 or 100% of the expenditure incurred for organizing the event, whichever is less shall be granted for this purpose.

पात्रता
- The applicant should be an individual or a cultural group/organization/institution, registered or unregistered.
- The applicant should have experience organizing cultural events/programmes/ exhibitions/festivals.
- The applicant should not be a defaulter of the Directorate of Art & Culture for non-submission of utilization certificate or statement of accounts for any other grant received by the applicant.
NOTE: The Directorate of Art & Culture, may also suo-moto identify any institution/cultural group or individual person to organize any Cultural Event/Programme/Exhibitions/Festival/Camp/Workshop for the Department of Art & Culture.
Reservation / Preference / Priority
Preference will be given to registered institutions/organizations.

Step 1: The interested applicant should visit the Directorate Of Art & Culture, Government of Goa, 5th Floor, Shram Shakti Bhavan, Panaji, Patto, Panaji, Goa - 403001
Step 2: Take a print of the proforma of the application form, or request a hard copy from the concerned authority.
Step 3: In the application form, fill in all the mandatory fields, paste the passport-sized photograph (signed across), and attach copies of all the mandatory documents (self-attest if required).
