The "Scheme to Encourage the Children of Sanitation Workers Who Have Passed the Class 10/12 Examination" is implemented by the Gujarat Safai Kamdar Vikas Nigam (GSKVN) under the Social Justice and Empowerment Department, Government of Gujarat. This scheme has been in operation since the year 2012-13.
The objective of the scheme is to promote and encourage the academic excellence of children of sanitation workers who have passed the Class 10 or Class 12 board examinations with top ranks. Under this scheme, students securing first, second, or third rank in the board examinations (General and Science streams) across the state are awarded cash prizes and certificates of appreciation.

Eligibility
- The applicant should be a resident of Gujarat.
- The applicant should be a student.
- The applicant should be a child of a sanitation worker engaged in scavenging activities.
- The applicant should have passed the SSC (Class 10) or HSC (Class 12) board examinations conducted during the current academic year to be eligible under this scheme.
- There is no annual income limit to avail the benefits of this scheme.
Note: Applicants who secure the first, second, or third rank among the online applications received will be eligible for benefits under this scheme.

Step 1: Visit the Social Justice & Empowerment Department website: https://esamajkalyan.gujarat.gov.in
Step 2: Click on “Please Register Here” on the homepage.
Step 3: Fill in your personal details as per Aadhaar.
Step 4: Create a password and submit the form.
Step 5: Verify details and click “Confirm”.
Step 6: You will receive your User ID & Password via SMS/email.
Login Process:
Step 1: Go to the portal homepage.
Step 2: Enter your User ID, Password, and Captcha.
Step 3: Click “Login” to access your dashboard.
Application Process:
After login, complete your User Profile (first-time only).
Step 1: Homepage will show eligible schemes – click on the one you want.
Step 2: Fill out the scheme application form.
Step 3: Upload the required documents.
Step 4: Review all entries, agree to terms, and click “Save Application”.
Step 5: Note your Application Number for tracking.
