विवरण
The Scheme for Integrated Development for Horticulture-HRT-2 aims to enhance the horticulture sector through various initiatives. It includes support for publications, exhibitions, competition seminars, and stall rental payments for horticultural crops. The scheme also promotes farm mechanization with subsidies for power tillers and mini tractors, and establishes new distillation units for medicinal and aromatic crops. Additionally, it supports the establishment of new processing units for cashew and other fruit crops, and provides subsidies for sea and air fridge exports of fruits, vegetables, flowers, and plants. The scheme ensures a Minimum Support Price for horticultural crops to stabilize market rates and offers subsidies on electricity bills for greenhouses and tissue culture laboratories. Other benefits include harvesting and processing equipment, subsidies on packing materials for post-harvest management, crop protection equipment, and the establishment of water storage tanks for drip irrigation.
