What is the purpose of the "Scheme for Awards to MSMEs"?

Who is eligible to apply for the MSME awards?

Any Micro, Small, or Medium Enterprise (MSME) registered under the MSME Development Act, 2006, that has been in continuous production for the past three years and holds valid statutory clearances is eligible to apply.

What is the prize for the winners of the MSME awards?

Each award winner receives ₹2,00,000/- , a trophy, and an appreciation letter from the Government of Gujarat.

How many award categories are available under this scheme?

The scheme includes separate awards for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises based on growth in production and profit, quality and environmental improvement, and technological innovation. Additionally, there are special awards for Women, Young, SC, and ST entrepreneurs, as well as a category for the Best MSME Start-up.

Can an enterprise receive multiple awards under this scheme?

No, an enterprise is eligible for only one award in each category during the operative period of the scheme.

Applications are reviewed by a working committee based on various criteria, including production growth, innovation, quality improvements, and environmental measures. The final selection is made by the State Level Empowered Committee (SLEC).

When will the results of the awards be announced?

The MSME Commissionerate announces the list of selected awardees after the evaluation process is completed.

Can newly established MSMEs apply for the awards?

No, only MSMEs that have been in continuous production for at least three years are eligible to apply.

Is the scheme applicable to enterprises located outside Gujarat?

No, only MSMEs registered and operating in Gujarat are eligible for the scheme.

How can an enterprise apply for the awards?

The MSME Commissionerate invites applications annually through advertisements in local newspapers. Enterprises must submit the prescribed application form along with the necessary documents.
