- The girl student must have obtained a minimum of 60% marks in graduation.

- The scheme is implemented under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Government of Uttarakhand and the Rishi and Milan Khosla Foundation, Noida, Uttar Pradesh.
- Applications are generally invited by the Department of Higher Education during December–January, after informing the respective colleges.
- To avail the scholarship, the girl student must apply online at www.vidyasaarathi.co.in during the specified period. Along with the application, the student is required to submit her Aadhaar card, bank account details, permanent residence certificate, income certificate, mark sheets of all years of graduation, college ID, and proof of admission in post-graduation.
