Details
The Rejuvenation of Senile Orchards scheme aims to enhance productivity in fruit orchards by removing old and senile trees and replanting new stock. The scheme provides a subsidy of 50% of the costs, up to a maximum of ₹20,000 per beneficiary, with a limit of two beneficiaries per application. The program focuses on orchards that have seen reduced productivity due to lack of nutrition or pest diseases. The rejuvenation process includes identifying low-yield orchards, improving tree density, nutrition, management practices, and quality of production. Various activities are supported under this scheme, including the provision of planting materials, pruning tools, fertilizers, and pest control chemicals.
