विवरण

Under the Rajasthan Panchayati Raj Rules 1996, provision was made for issuing leases for houses built on populated land until the year 1996 based on occupancy. The state government has now amended Rule 157 to provide relief to the rural population, allowing for the regularization of old houses up to December 31, 20216. Families without any land or other houses will have their occupancy until the year 2003 regularized free of charge under Rule 157(2). To empower women, leases will now be issued only in the names of women. Additionally, rules have been amended to allocate 30% of the plots provided by village panchayats to widows and destitute women.
