- For post-harvest processing, farmers first obtain an application form for setting up a distillation (processing) plant from the CAP website or field personnel. The application form must be accompanied by a photograph, land records/lease certificates, a CAP registration certificate, and a description of the distillation plant. - The farmer, organization, or group will submit the application form in the prescribed format to the Director of the Centre for Aromatic Plants or provide it to a field worker. The District Coordinator then conducts a site inspection and provides a recommendation. Following the inspection, the Director of CAP grants written permission to the farmer to establish a distillation plant. The farmer will then establish their distillation plant at their own expense, as per the details attached to the CAP permission letter.
- The prescribed application form for disbursing the subsidy after the plant is established can be obtained from the CAP website or from field workers. The application form, along with the bill, a photo of the farmer, a photo of the distillation plant, land documents, and bank account details, will be submitted to the Director of CAP, along with the recommendation of the Master Trainer/Technical Assistant.
- An evaluation committee constituted at the Director level then conducts a site inspection. Following the committee's report and the District Coordinator's recommendation, the Director of CAP disburses the lump-sum subsidy to the farmer's account.
