• Tiatr Academy of Goa will print scripts of tiatrs/khell tiatrs/khells, one-act plays, lyrics of kantaram with or without music in book form in Konkani in Roman Script
• Minimum of 500 copies of each book will be printed. Category-wise Benefits Category I (Deceased or Inactive Tiatr Artistes)
• One-time honorarium as fixed by Tiatr Academy of Goa for each tiatr script/anthology of songs 25 copies of books will be given to the writer or legal heir
• Books will be published by Tiatr Academy of Goa from its funds allotted to the scheme. Category II (Active Tiatr Artistes) 200 books will be given to the artiste
• One-time honorarium as fixed by Tiatr Academy of Goa for each tiatr script/anthology of songs
• Books will be published by Tiatr Academy of Goa from its funds allotted to the scheme. Category III (Individual Artiste/Publisher Self-Publishing) 100% of the cost of printing will be paid by Tiatr Academy of Goa on proper verification of rates
• Must give 100 books to Tiatr Academy of Goa free of cost
• Not entitled for any honorarium from Tiatr Academy of Goa. Conditions The manuscript must adhere to traditional formats as approved by Tiatr Academy of Goa. There should not be any adverse remark made in any form either written or verbal against any Governments/Individuals/Institutions or anything against caste, creed and religion in the scripts/lyrics of songs which may hurt the sentiments of anybody. If proved to contain adverse remarks, Tiatr Academy of Goa reserves the right not to print the book and refrain from making payment or recall the payment made to the concerned

There are 3 categories: Category I covers deceased or inactive tiatr artistes who receive 25 free copies and honorarium; Category II covers active tiatr artistes who get 200 free copies and honorarium; Category III covers individual artistes or publishers who get 100% printing cost coverage but no honorarium and must provide 100 books to the Academy. <br>

As someone wanting to submit only song lyrics without any dramatic scripts, what is the minimum collection requirement I need to meet?

If you are submitting only songs (kantaram) with or without musical scores, you need a minimum collection of 50 songs if you fall under Category I (deceased or inactive artiste), or 100 songs if you fall under Category II (active artiste). <br>

Can I apply for this literature preservation support if I am not personally involved in tiatr but am related to someone who was?

Yes, you can apply as a legal heir of a deceased tiatr artiste. You must be able to establish your legal relationship to the deceased artiste who was involved in tiatr performances or creation. <br>

What happens if my submitted manuscript contains content that criticizes government policies or makes comments about religious communities?

The Academy reserves the right not to print your book and can refrain from making payment or even recall payments already made if your scripts or lyrics contain adverse remarks against any governments, individuals, institutions, or anything against caste, creed, and religion that may hurt sentiments. <br>

In what specific language and script format must my manuscript be prepared for consideration under this preservation initiative?

Your manuscript must be prepared in Konkani language written in Roman Script format. All scripts, lyrics, and musical compositions must adhere to this language and script requirement as specified by the Academy. <br>

How many physical copies of my manuscript do I need to submit along with my application for review?

You must submit 3 typed copies of your manuscript along with your application. Additionally, you also need to provide a soft copy on a Compact Disc, Digital Versatile Disc, or Pen Drive. <br>

What is the minimum number of book copies that will be printed if my manuscript gets approved for publication?

The Academy will print a minimum of 500 copies of each approved book. This ensures adequate distribution and preservation of the tiatr literature for future generations and cultural documentation. <br>

If I am currently performing and writing for tiatr productions, which category should I apply under and what benefits can I expect?

As an active tiatr artiste, you should apply under Category II. You will receive 200 copies of your published book, a one-time honorarium fixed by the Academy for each script or anthology, and the Academy will fund the entire publication from its allocated scheme funds. <br>

Are there any financial documents I need to provide as part of my application submission process?

Yes, you must submit a self-attested copy of your Permanent Account Number Card along with a self-attested copy of your Aadhaar Card as part of the required documentation. <br>

What type of dramatic works are eligible for consideration beyond traditional full-length tiatr productions?

Besides full-length tiatrs, you can submit scripts of Khell tiatr, Khell productions, and One Act Plays. The scheme covers various forms of dramatic literature within the tiatr tradition and related theatrical formats. <br>

If I want to publish my work independently but still receive financial support, what obligations do I have toward the Academy?

Under Category III, you must ensure your book conforms to all scheme norms, provide 100 books to the Academy free of cost, and you will receive 100% printing cost reimbursement but no honorarium payment. <br>

The prescribed application form is available at the office of Tiatr Academy of Goa. You need to collect this specific form as it is required along with your other documents for application submission. <br>

What additional documentation do I need if I am applying as a publisher on behalf of an author rather than as the original creator?

If you are applying as a publisher, you must provide a written No Objection Certificate from the original author in addition to all other required documents including manuscript copies and identification papers. <br>

Which type of tiatr literature receives priority consideration during the evaluation and selection process?

Scripts, lyrics, and music written by tiatr artistes of yesteryears are given first preference during the evaluation process. This prioritization helps preserve historical and culturally significant works from earlier generations. <br>
