विवरण
The Uttar Pradesh Social Welfare Department has established pre-examination training centers to provide specialized coaching for civil service examinations (such as the IAS/PSC) to candidates from Scheduled Castes and other disadvantaged groups in the state. Currently, eight major training centers are operational in various districts of the state, with a total operational capacity of approximately 1,050 trainees. These centers implement a strict reservation policy, reserving 50% of seats for Other Backward Classes (OBC), 45% for Scheduled Castes (SC), and 5% for Scheduled Tribes (ST). The primary objective of the scheme is to provide free high-quality training to graduate candidates from these groups to prepare them for the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) examinations. The program aims to help youth from disadvantaged communities overcome economic and educational barriers and promote their participation in government services. Separate facilities are provided for women, strengthening social inclusion.
