Step 1:**** Identify Nearest Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan Facility
The pregnant woman should visit the Official Portal of PMSMA or download the 'PMSMA' mobile application to find their nearest PMSMA facility using the 'Nearest Facility' search feature.
Step 2:**** Visit on the Designated Day
The beneficiary must visit the identified government health facility (Primary Health Centre, Community Health Centre, District Hospital, or urban health facility) on the 9th of every month. If the 9th falls on Sunday or holiday, services are provided on the next working day.
Step 3:**** Registration at Facility
Upon reaching the facility, the pregnant woman should register herself at the PMSMA counter or reception desk by providing basic identity information and contact details.
Step 4:**** Medical Consultation and Examination
The beneficiary will receive comprehensive antenatal care services including medical consultation with Obstetrics and Gynaecology specialists, Radiologists, or Physicians as per the minimum package of services defined under the scheme.
Step 5:**** Investigation and Tests
Required medical investigations, tests, and screening procedures will be conducted as per the standardized protocol for 2nd and 3rd trimester pregnant women under the single window system.
Step 6:**** Medicine Distribution
The beneficiary will receive prescribed medicines including Iron Folic Acid tablets, calcium supplements, and other necessary medications free of cost from the facility pharmacy.
Step 7:**** Risk Assessment and Follow-up
Healthcare providers will assess pregnancy risk factors and if identified as high-risk, a red sticker will be placed on the Mother and Child Protection card with necessary follow-up instructions.
Step 8:**** Next Visit Scheduling
The healthcare provider will provide information about the next visit date (9th of following month) and any interim care requirements or emergency contact procedures.
