पात्रता
- The beneficiary must be a resident of Uttarakhand.
- The beneficiary must be a farmer engaged in agricultural activities.
- As per the guidelines issued by the Government of India:
- For the construction of collective irrigation schemes, clusters will be formed within a radius of 5 km from the proposed village, with a command area of 20 hectares or more.
- In the case of an individual scheme, the command area should be 10 hectares or more.
- The cost of the scheme must not exceed ₹4.00 lakh per hectare.
- The benefit-cost ratio of the scheme must be greater than 1.0.

Offline
- For construction of the project, project's proposal may be submitted to the Division, Sub-Division, or other departmental offices through the Gram Sabha, Gram Panchayat, District Panchayat, or other authorized channels. Based on site inspection and the suitability of the received proposals, a Detailed Project Report (DPR) will be prepared.
- After examination by the departmental TAC, the DPR is forwarded to the headquarters. Thereafter, following approval by the State-level Technical Advisory Committee, the proposals are forwarded to the State Level Sanctioning Committee, chaired by the Chief Secretary of the Government of Uttarakhand. Upon approval, the DPR is forwarded to the Government of India for financial sanction. The construction work of the projects is initiated after receiving financial approval from the Government of India.
