The PM-RAHAT (Relief & Assistance for Highway Accident Trauma) Scheme provides cashless hospitalization for road accident victims up to ₹1.5 lakhs. The scheme aims to facilitate immediate medical assistance during the critical 'golden hour' following an accident, thereby reducing fatalities and improving recovery outcomes. It is implemented under the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, and is supported by the Motor Vehicle Accident Fund.
