The scheme "Petrochemicals Research & Innovation Commendation" was launched by the Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers. The scheme aims to felicitate the meritorious innovations and inventions in the field of petrochemicals, products, processes and other areas of national and social importance. The scheme provides a citation and a memento to the awardees across various designated categories to incentivize sustainable development and innovation.

पात्रता

  • The applicant must be an Indian citizen, institution, industry, organisation, or Start-up registered in India.
  • The applicant must be an entity created by the Central government, State governments, or Union Territories.
  • The applicant must limit the maximum number of members to five, in case of applying as a team or group.
  • The applicant must present an innovation that is an original product, process, or an improvement on an existing product or process.
  • The applicant must ensure the innovation increases the utility of the product or process by enhancing consumer advantages, accuracy, reliability, safety, product life, or versatility.
  • The applicant must not submit a mere theoretical hypothesis, an innovation simply in the idea stage, or a perpetual motion machine.
  • The applicant must present an innovation that is not older than three years at the time of submitting the application.
  • The applicant must not be an awardee of previous editions of the National Petrochemicals Awards for the immediate three preceding editions or years.

Step 1: Access the Official Portal for Application Submission

The applicant must access the official online portal provided by the implementing agency, such as the Central Institutes of Petrochemicals Engineering and Technology, to find the scheme guidelines and application links.

Step 2: Fill out the Prescribed Application Format

The applicant must apply online for the commendation under any relevant category or sub-category by selecting the appropriate form for an Individual, Team, Industry, Academic Institution, Research and Development Institution, or Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise.

Step 3: Provide Detailed Information and Documentation

The applicant must fill in personal details, academic qualifications, organization details, and upload comprehensive write-ups, technical descriptions, test reports, and photographs substantiating the innovation.

Step 4: Submit the Complete Application Online

The applicant must ensure that the application is complete in all respects, acknowledge the Certificate of Undertaking, and submit the application electronically for screening and evaluation by the designated screening committee.

When applying collectively as a group or research unit, the maximum permissible size is rigidly restricted. You must ensure your submission includes no more than five participating members. <br>
We successfully commercialized a revolutionary new polymer processing machinery design approximately four years ago, which is still highly popular today. Are we allowed to submit this established technology for the commendation?
Submissions must focus on recent technological advancements. The product or process you are submitting cannot be older than three years at the time you formally submit your online application. <br>
Our private limited enterprise wishes to secure the recognition officially under our corporate identity rather than attributing it to an individual employee. How should we correctly fill out the application details to reflect this?
To ensure the accolade is granted to the corporate entity itself, you must explicitly list the organization&#39;s legal name within the designated primary applicant field on the submission form. <br>

Participants are restricted from submitting an unlimited number of entries. You are formally permitted to submit a maximum of two applications within each of the two major overarching categories. <br>
