The National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) aims to reduce poverty by promoting self-employment and organization of rural poor into self-help groups (SHGs). Registered as a society under the Rajasthan Society Registration Act of 1958, the mission is overseen by the Chief Minister and the Chief Secretary of Rajasthan. The mission focuses on effective convergence of government and non-government initiatives for rural development, enhancing the livelihoods of poor families, and promoting sustainable community organization structures. The NRLM is implemented across all districts in Rajasthan, with significant budget allocations for various projects aimed at empowering women and economically weaker sections of society.
