Details

The Mechanization in Horticulture program aims to reduce crop production costs and increase productivity through the provision of grants for power-driven equipment to farmers, producer organizations, farmer groups, self-help groups, and women farmer groups (with at least 10 members) engaged in horticultural crop cultivation. The program offers various subsidies based on the type of equipment and the category of the farmer.

Benefits

  • - Tractor (up to 20 PTO HP) with Rotavator/Equipment: 25% subsidy for general farmers (max ₹75,000) and 35% for SC/ST/small and marginal/women farmers (max ₹100,000)
  • Power Tiller (below 8 BHP): ₹40,000subsidy for general farmers and ₹50,000for SC/ST/small and marginal/women farmers
  • Power Tiller (8 BHP and above): ₹60,000subsidy for general farmers and ₹75,000for SC/ST/small and marginal/women farmers
  • Tractor/Power-driven machines (up to 20 BHP) for land development and seedbed preparation: ₹12,000subsidy for general farmers and ₹15,000for SC/ST/small and marginal/women farmers
  • Automatic horticultural machinery: ₹100,000subsidy for general farmers and ₹125,000for SC/ST/small and marginal/women farmers
  • Tractor-mounted/operated sprayer (above 35 BHP): 40% subsidy for general farmers (max ₹50,000) and 50% for SC/ST/small and marginal/women farmers (max ₹63,000)

Eligibility

  1. Registration of equipment with the district-level committee of the Agriculture Department or availability of grants for already registered equipment as per scheme guidelines.
  2. Farmers can apply for grants for agricultural equipment not manufactured by local fabricators and having BIS/ISI certification by obtaining a quotation from the manufacturer.
  3. Administrative approval will be issued by the District Collector upon application with the quotation from a certified manufacturer.
  4. After purchasing the equipment, farmers must inform the district office with the original bill.
  5. Physical verification of the equipment will be conducted by a committee within 15 days of bill submission.

Online

  1. Register the equipment with the district-level committee of the Agriculture Department.
  2. Obtain a quotation from a certified manufacturer for equipment not made by local fabricators.
  3. Submit the application with the quotation to the district office for administrative approval.
  4. Purchase the equipment and inform the district office with the original bill.
  5. Undergo physical verification by the district committee.
