The Mechanization in Horticulture program aims to reduce crop production costs and increase productivity through the provision of subsidies for power-driven equipment to farmers, producer groups, self-help groups, and women farmer groups (with at least 10 members) engaged in horticultural crop cultivation. The scheme offers various subsidies based on the type of equipment and the category of the farmer.

Benefits

  • - Subsidy for tractors (up to 20 PTO HP) with rotavator/equipment: 25% of cost for general farmers (max ₹75,000) and 35% for SC/ST/small and marginal/women farmers (max ₹100,000)
  • Subsidy for power tillers (below 8 BHP): ₹40,000for general farmers and ₹50,000for SC/ST/small and marginal/women farmers
  • Subsidy for power tillers (8 BHP and above): ₹60,000for general farmers and ₹75,000for SC/ST/small and marginal/women farmers
  • Subsidy for tractor/power-driven machines (up to 20 BHP) for land development and seed bed preparation: ₹12,000for general farmers and ₹15,000for SC/ST/small and marginal/women farmers
  • Subsidy for automatic gardening machinery: ₹100,000for general farmers and ₹125,000for SC/ST/small and marginal/women farmers
  • Subsidy for tractor-mounted/operated sprayers (above 35 BHP): 40% of cost (max ₹50,000) for general farmers and 50% of cost (max ₹63,000) for SC/ST/small and marginal/women farmers

Eligibility

  1. Registration of equipment with the district-level committee of the Agriculture Department or obtaining subsidies for already registered equipment.
  2. Farmers can apply for subsidies for equipment not manufactured by local fabricators and with BIS/ISI certification by obtaining a quotation from the manufacturer.
  3. Administrative approval will be issued by the District Collector upon application with the quotation from a certified manufacturer.
  4. After purchasing the equipment, farmers must inform the district office with the original bill.
  5. Physical verification of the equipment will be conducted by a committee within 15 days of bill submission.

  1. Register the equipment with the district-level committee of the Agriculture Department.
  2. Obtain a quotation from a certified manufacturer for equipment not made by local fabricators.
  3. Apply to the district office with the quotation for administrative approval.
  4. Purchase the equipment and inform the district office with the original bill.
  5. Undergo physical verification by the district committee.
