It also focuses on empowering women collectives to resolve disputes and promote access to justice in a community-based setting.

For Beneficiaries:

For Members (Nyaya Sakhis):
- The applicant should be a woman resident of the concerned Gram Panchayat.
- The applicant should be socially respected and active in community work.
- The applicant should preferably be an Elected Women Representative, Self-Help Group member, or professional (teacher, doctor, lawyer, social worker).

Step 1: Aggrieved women approach the Nari Adalat at the Gram Panchayat level.
Step 2: The Nari Adalat registers the complaint and schedules a hearing.
Step 3: Notices are issued to concerned parties.
Step 4: the NA will arrive at a solution by using tools of counselling, negotiation and mediation tactics, or evidence-based approach to reach a mutually acceptable conclusion.
Step 5: The NA should follow up with the aggrieved for at-least one month to report on any recurrence of the matter.
