The scheme “Nagaland Stipend for Girls of Secondary Students” is a state-sponsored scheme launched by the Department of School Education, Government of Nagaland. The scheme aims to encourage girl students of class IX and X studying at Government High Schools (GHS) and Government Higher Secondary Schools (GHSS) who belong to economically weaker families. Under this scheme, a stipend will be provided to two girls from each class, nominated by the Headmaster or Principal of the concerned school.

Eligibility

  1. The applicant should be a resident of Nagaland.
  2. The applicant should be a girl student.
  3. The applicant should be studying in class IX or X.
  4. The applicant should be studying at a Government High School or Government Higher Secondary School.
  5. The applicant should belong to an economically weaker family.

Application Process

Offline

  • Eligible girl students can apply for the scheme by contacting the Principal/Headmaster, or the concerned authority at their respective school/institution.

Note: The Headmaster and Principal of Government High Schools and Government Higher Secondary Schools can nominate two girls from each class and submit along with the PCR at the end of the academic session, to the Directorate to avail the Stipend.
