The “Maternal Nutrition” scheme is a component under the "Mukhyamantri Sampoorna Pushti Yojana (MSPY)" scheme, introduced by the Department of Women & Child Development, Government of Odisha. The scheme aims to provide supplementary Take Home Ration (THR) in the form of nutrient-rich food products to pregnant women and lactating mothers across the state. Additionally, essential services such as antenatal care (ANC) check-ups during Mamata Diwas, immunisation, and IFA and calcium supplementation are also provided. The scheme has been implemented for a five-year period, commencing from FY 2023-24 to FY 2027-28.

  • - Take Home Ration: Chikki/ladoo(s) and eggs are provided to pregnant women and lactating mothers under Supplementary Nutrition Programme (SNP). Offline

Step 1: Visit the nearest Anganwadi Centre (AWC) in your locality.
Step 2: Obtain the scheme enrollment form from the Anganwadi Worker (AWW).
Step 3: Fill in the details in the form with attach the required documents.
Step 4: Submit the filled form and documents to the AWC.

After Submission of Application:

  • The Anganwadi Worker verifies the eligibility and registers the applicant under MSPY – Maternal Nutrition.
  • Beneficiary receives acknowledgement of enrolment and is included in the monthly THR distribution list.
  • On the 1st of every month, the AWW distributes the entitled THR packages (Til Ladoo, Chana, Paushtik Bhel, Dates) at the AWC.
  • Health services such as ANC check-ups, IFA and Calcium supplementation continue as per schedule.
