Details
The Mukhya Mantri Krishak Sathi Sahayata Yojana was initiated by the Agriculture Marketing Department to provide financial assistance to farmers and agricultural laborers who suffer accidents while performing agricultural work. This scheme has evolved from the earlier 'Kisan Jeevan Kalyan Yojana' which provided similar assistance since December 22, 2004. The scheme offers support to farmers, agricultural laborers, licensed hammals, and palledars in the event of death or disability due to accidents occurring while returning from the market after selling agricultural produce. The assistance ranges from Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 200,000 based on the severity of the incident.

Eligibility
Farmers, agricultural laborers, hammals, and palledars aged between 14 to 75 years.
Exclusions
General accidents not related to agricultural work are not covered under this scheme.

- Ensure the application is submitted within six months of the accident.
- The mandi committee will verify the application and decide on the assistance within one month.
