The scheme “Mukhiya Mantri Protsahan Yojna” was launched by Dept. of Higher Education, H.P. during the year 2013-14. Under the scheme, an Incentive/Award will be given to students of the State who are selected and take admission for a degree course in any IIT/AIIMS/IIM/ISM Dhanbad/IISc Bangalore.

The scheme “Mukhiya Mantri Protsahan Yojna” was launched by the Department of Higher Education, Himachal Pradesh during the year 2013-14. Under the scheme, an Incentive/Award will be given to all those students of the State who are selected and take admission for a degree course in any Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) or All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) or a post Graduate Diploma Course in any Indian Institute of Management (IIMs). Indian School of Mines (ISM) Dhanbad at Jharkhand & Indian Institute of Science (IISc) at Bangalore, have also been added to the list of institutions eligible for award under this scheme w.e.f. 2014-15.

पात्रता
- The student should be a native of Himachal Pradesh.

Step 01: The students applying for the scholarship for the first time need to "Register" using the icon “New Registration” at the NSP Portal URL - https://scholarships.gov.in/, by providing accurate and correct information as per their documents.
Step 02: After successfully get registration done, students will get their “Student Registration ID”.
Step 03: Through “Student Registration ID” students will be able to login into the account using the icon “Fresh Application” at NSP Portal.
Step 04: After successful login to the portal, the welcome page appeared. On clicking the “Application Form” icon, students will be directed to the application screen.
Step 05: Now, the students may fill out the complete application form and on clicking the “Final Submit” button, the application is finally submitted.
Step 06: On successful submission of the application, a system-generated registration number is sent to the students which can be used for future reference.

- Do I need to get my Aadhaar Card to apply for Scholarship?
- Aadhaar No. is not Mandatory for the Students in order to Register and fill up the application form online. Students can apply for Scholarships without entering the Aadhaar no. but in that case they have to enter the Aadhaar Enrollment Id. For the States of Assam, Meghalaya and Mizoram Aadhar Number is not mandatory
- Is there any permanent ID? How will it be communicated to me?
- Yes. An Application ID (Permanent ID) will be provided to the candidate once his/her Registration is done. It will be conveyed to candidates through SMS and e-mail. Students should memorize their Application ID as it will be required while applying for Fresh/renewal scholarship.
- How to check the status of my application?
- Student can check the status of Online Application by submitting his/her Permanent id and Date Of Birth and opening the link "Check your Status".
