विवरण
The MLA Local Area Development Scheme was initiated by the state government in the year 1999-2000. In the initial year, each MLA was authorized to recommend works costing ₹25 lakh, which was increased to ₹40 lakh in 2000-2001. The amount was further raised to ₹60 lakh in 2001-2002, ₹80 lakh in 2007-08, and ₹100 lakh per MLA annually from 2010-11. From 2012-13, the provision was increased to ₹200 lakh, ₹225 lakh from 2016-17, and ₹500 lakh per MLA annually from 2021-22.
