The "Marriage Gift Scheme" is a welfare initiative implemented by the Telangana Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (TB&OCWWB), LET&F (Labour) Department, Telangana. The scheme provides financial assistance to registered women workers, as well as the wives and daughters of registered workers, to support them during and after pregnancy.

Eligibility

For construction workers themselves (Women only)

  1. The construction worker should be registered under the Telangana Building & Other Construction Workers Welfare Board.
  2. The construction worker should be a woman.
  3. The construction worker should have been registered for at least 12 months before the date of delivery.
  4. The construction work can get this assistance only twice.

For wife/daughters of construction workers

  1. The construction workers should be registered under the Telangana Building & Other Construction Workers Welfare Board.
  2. The construction worker can receive the scheme benefits twice for up to two daughters.
  3. The construction worker should have been registered for at least 12 months before the date of delivery.
  4. If both parents are registered workers, only one parent is eligible for the scheme amount.

Application Process

Offline

Application Process:
Step 1: The interested applicant visits to the official website and click on "Downloads" for the application form.
Step 2: In the application form, fill in all the mandatory fields, and attach copies of all the mandatory documents (self-attest, if required).
Step 3: Submit the duly filled and signed application form along with the documents to the concerned officer in the labour department.
Step 4: Request a receipt or acknowledgment from the concerned authority to whom the application has been submitted. Ensure that the receipt contains essential details such as the date and time of submission, and a unique identification number (if applicable).

NOTE:

  • Applications must be submitted within one year from the date of delivery.
