The scheme "Mahila Bakri Palan" was introduced by the Department of Animal Husbandry, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to empower women, especially abandoned, widowed, destitute, single, and disaster-affected women, by providing them support for goat rearing to generate livelihood and improve household income.

लाभ

Under this scheme one unit of goats (3 females and 1 male) aged 12 to 18 months is provided to eligible women. The entire cost of the scheme ₹35 000 is borne by the State Government

The applicant must be a resident of Uttarakhand.
The applicant must be a woman.
