Low Tension power tariff subsidy

The Low Tension power tariff subsidy scheme provides a subsidy of 20% on power consumption charges for a duration of 36 months. This subsidy is applicable from the date of commencement of production or the date of power connection, whichever is later. The scheme is designed to support manufacturers, particularly in industrially backward blocks and agro-based enterprises across the state of Tamil Nadu.

Manufacturers who are using Low Tension Power Supply (Tariff III B) and have obtained an Eligibility Certificate (EC).

Excludes industrial estates located within a radius of 50 kms from Chennai City Centre.

Offline

1. Obtain an Eligibility Certificate (EC) within three months from the date of commencement of production or date of power connection.
2. Submit the first subsidy claim within 30 days from the date of issue of EC.
3. Subsequent claims should be submitted every six months: bills from January to June by August 31st and from July to December by February 28th of the succeeding year.
