The Kishan Kalpvriksh Yojana aims to provide assistance to Agricultural Produce Market Committees (APMCs) for the modernization and creation of basic facilities. This initiative is a response to the impacts of globalization and liberalization on agricultural produce markets, fostering a competitive environment. The scheme is rooted in the amendments made to the Agricultural Production Act-1963 in 2007, which introduced contract farming, direct purchase systems, e-markets, and private markets, allowing private companies to enter the agricultural sector.

पात्रता
