विवरण

The Kishan Kalpvriksh Yojana aims to provide assistance to Agricultural Produce Market Committees (APMCs) by offering basic and modern facilities. This initiative is a response to the globalization and liberalization of agricultural markets, which have created a competitive environment. The Agricultural Production Act of 1963 was amended in 2007 to facilitate contract farming, direct purchase systems, e-markets, private markets, and common licensing, allowing private companies to enter the agricultural sector. The scheme focuses on enhancing the infrastructure and services of APMCs to better support farmers and improve market conditions.
