Launched in 2010, the scheme "Khel Mahakumbh" by the Sports, Youth and Cultural Activities Department, Government of Gujarat, aims to foster sportsmanship, encourage mass participation in sporting events, and recognize talent across all age groups through free sports services, structured competitions, and significant monetary rewards. The scheme has witnessed continuous growth in participation since its inception and provides opportunities for outstanding performers to benefit from further sports training and development schemes under the Sports Authority of Gujarat. The scheme is implemented by the Sports Authority of Gujarat.

Eligibility

  • The applicant should be a native of Gujarat or should have been studying, residing, working, or doing business in Gujarat for the past 2 years.
  • Students must participate from the taluka/district where their school or college is located.
  • Employees transferred from other states are eligible if their transfer to the district occurred at least 6 months before the date of registration.

Note: The applicant can register for a maximum of 2 sports only.
