The scheme “Inter-Caste / Inter-Religious Marriage Award” has been implemented by the Department of Social Welfare, Government of Uttarakhand, aims to promote social harmony and discourage caste and religious discrimination. Eligibility
- The applicant must be a resident of Uttarakhand.
- The applicant must a married couple who has entered into either an inter-caste or an inter-religious marriage.

- In the case of an inter-religious marriage, both spouses must belong to different religions.

Offline
- The received application is forwarded to the government for approval through the Directorate, along with the recommendation of the District Magistrate, after necessary scrutiny by the District Social Welfare Officer.
- It is mandatory to attach the following documents with the application form: a copy of the bride and groom's date of birth certificate (High School Certificate/Birth Certificate/Family Register/Aadhaar Card), marriage registration certificate, and details of a CBS bank account linked/seeded with Aadhaar.
- After approval at the government level, the bank draft is issued from the designation of the concerned District Magistrate.
