The scheme “Grant in Case of Death Due to Disaster” is implemented by the Uttarakhand State Disaster Management Authority under the Department of Disaster Management, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to provide financial assistance to the families or dependents of individuals who lose their lives due to any disaster.

Eligibility
- The applicant must be a resident of Uttarakhand.
- The applicant should be a disaster-affected person/ belong to a disaster-affected family or an individual involved in relief or pre-preparation related work.
Application Process
Offline
Information about the disaster and the resulting damage is received from various sources. The concerned Patwari verifies the damage and records it in the P-20 form. The Patwari’s report is subsequently verified by the Tehsildar and the Sub-Divisional Magistrate. Approval is then obtained from the District Magistrate. Once the District Magistrate’s approval is received, relief funds are disbursed to the concerned beneficiaries at the Tehsil level.
