विवरण

Andhra Pradesh Brahmin Welfare Corporation, a Government of Andhra Pradesh undertaking, launched the “Gayathri Scheme for Academic Excellence” (GS-AE). Under this scheme, the topper of the school/ College/ Institute for the course will be recognized with a certain amount through the prescribed process. This scheme is applicable to students of Andhra Pradesh covering all 13 districts.

  • Intermediate or equivalent (Polytechnic, ITI at the end of Final Year): ₹10,000/-
  • Graduation (at the end of Final Year): ₹15,000/-
  • Professional Education Course (at the end of Final Year): ₹20,000/-

पात्रता

  1. The student and his/her parents should belong to the Brahmin community.
  2. The parents of the student should reside in Andhra Pradesh.
  3. The student must be a regular (Full Time) student of the course for the academic year 2018-19.
  4. The student should be the topper of the entire course (at the end of SSC/ Intermediate or equivalent /Graduation /Professional Edn. Course) in the School/ College/ Institute for the academic year 2018-19.
  5. The toppers of SSC/ Intermediate or equivalent and Graduation should have completed the course in Andhra Pradesh. However, toppers of Professional Education Course may have completed the course from anywhere in India but the parents should be residing in Andhra Pradesh.
  6. The student should not have availed himself/herself of any amount under any other government scheme for the same purpose.

Step-01: Applicants have to visit the official website and click on Scheme.
Step-02: Click on "Registration" under the concerned scheme name.
Step-03: Fill out the application form with required details like:

  • Personal Details: Name, Residence address, Aadhaar no, Ration card no, Bank detail etc
  • Upload: Photo, Signature and Certificate Details
  • Documents: Birth Certificate, Residential Certificate, Aadhaar Card, Caste Certificate, Bank Passbook etc
  • Finalize and "Submit" the application.

Step-04: Receive the reference number after the submission.

Check Application Status:

Step-01: Click on the “Services” link on the menu and select "Know your status".
Step-02: Enter the Reference or Mobile or Aadhaar Card Number to get the application status.
Step-03: Select the "Financial Year" and Fetch the details.

Download the Acknowledgement slip:

Step-01: Applicants have to visit the official website and click on Scheme.
Step-02: Click on the "Acknowledgement Slip" under the concerned scheme.
Step-03: Enter the Aadhaar Card Number and select the "Scheme".
Step-04: Click on the "Submit".

Who should apply for this scheme?
Any Brahmin Boy/ Girl who is the topper of the School/ College/ Institute for the entire course, during the academic year 2018-19 and meeting the eligibility criteria of the scheme, can apply.
I am the topper of the Brahmin Community, but not topper of the course in my school/ college/ institute. Can I apply?
NO. This scheme is to encourage overall toppers, but not topper in Brahmin Community. If you are the Topper of the course in your school/ college/ Institute irrespective of the Community, only then you are eligible to apply.
What is the certificate that I have to produce as topper?
A. The certificate, neatly typed on the letter head of the School/ College/ institute, indicating that the student is topper of the entire course may be obtained and a scanned copy should be uploaded online. B. If you are one of the toppers of the course and sharing the same highest marks with others in the school/ college/ institute you are eligible to apply, provided a certificate as indicated above is provided. For example, in SSC there might be more than one student who have got 10/10 and you are one among them, but you will also be treated as topper.
My results are not yet declared. Should I apply now?
NO. Only those whose results are announced and stand as topper of the course, should apply.
I have completed my course through Distance Education/ Correspondence and was a topper of the course. Am I eligible to apply?
NO. Only those who have pursued the course as a regular (Full Time) student and stood as topper is eligible for benefit under this scheme.
Is the scheme applicable to all districts in Andhra Pradesh?
Yes, the scheme covers all 13 districts of Andhra Pradesh.
Can students who have availed themselves of other government schemes for the same purpose apply for GS-AE?
No, students who have received any amount under any other government scheme for the same purpose are not eligible.
What courses are covered under the GS-AE scheme?
The scheme covers SSC, Intermediate or equivalent, Graduation, and Professional Education courses.
Can Professional Education Course toppers from outside Andhra Pradesh apply?
Yes, provided their parents reside in Andhra Pradesh.
How can students apply for the GS-AE scheme?
Eligible students must register online through the Corporation's portal by providing the necessary information.
Who shortlists and finalizes the applicants for the GS-AE scheme?
The State Level Selection Committee (SLSC) is responsible for shortlisting and finalizing the applicants.
How is the financial assistance disbursed to the selected students?
The financial assistance amount is transferred to the Savings Bank Accounts of eligible applicants.
What happens if the information provided by the applicant is found to be false?
APBWC reserves the right to cancel, withdraw, or recover the benefit amount if any information provided by the applicant is found to be untrue.
