Details

The Gaushala Vikas Yojna aims to provide financial assistance for the construction of permanent infrastructure in registered gaushalas (cow shelters) in Rajasthan. The scheme is applicable to gaushalas that have a minimum of 20 years of ownership or lease of land and have been maintaining at least 100 cattle for the past two years. The scheme was initiated in the financial year 2018-19 and provides up to ₹10 lakh for construction work, with 90% of the funding coming from the state government and 10% to be borne by the gaushala.

Eligibility

Eligible gaushalas must meet the following criteria:

  1. Own land or have a lease of at least 20 years.
  2. Maintain at least 100 cattle for the last two years.
  3. Not have any pending financial irregularities.
  4. The construction work must be for creating new infrastructure.

Exclusions

Gaushalas that have received government grants or assistance from any source are not eligible.
