Details

The Gaushala Vikas Yojna aims to provide financial assistance for the construction of permanent infrastructure in registered gaushalas (cow shelters) in Rajasthan. The scheme is applicable to gaushalas that have a minimum of 20 years of land ownership or a valid lease. The scheme was initiated in the financial year 2018-19 and is designed to support gaushalas that have maintained at least 100 cattle for the past two years without any pending financial irregularities. The state government provides up to 90% of the construction costs, with a maximum limit of ₹10 lakh, while the gaushala is required to contribute 10%. Applications can be submitted online through the Directorate of Gopalan's portal.

Eligibility

Eligible gaushalas must meet the following criteria:

  1. Own land or have a valid lease for a minimum of 20 years.
  2. Have maintained at least 100 cattle for the last two years.
  3. Not have any pending financial irregularities.
  4. The construction work must be for creating new infrastructure.

Exclusions

Gaushalas that have received government grants or assistance from any source are not eligible.

  3. Approval letter from the executing agency for construction work.
  4. A demand draft or bank cheque for the 10% contribution in the name of the executing agency.
