The scheme “Financial Assistance to Boat owner / Fishermen Captured by Pakistan Marine Security Agency (PMSA)” has been implemented by the Department of Fisheries, UT Administration of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu. The scheme aims to help the families of the fishermen affected due to captured by Pakistani Marine Security Agency. Ameliorate the hardship due to apprehension/detention of the fishing vessel, by providing one time back ended financial assistance to the registered and licensed fishing vessel owners operating from the Union Territory to re-construct/replace their fishing boat/engine etc.

  • Pattern of Assistance:
  • Unskilled daily wages rate as notified time to time by the U. T. Administration to the families of the Fishermen those are held 1s time captive/detained by Pakistani Marine Security Agency (PMSA), having valid ID Cards and resident of U.T. of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu
  • T.A./D.A. to the fishermen during the repatriations from Pakistani Jail:- 1. Travelling Allowance (T.A.) is admissible at 2nd class Sleeper of Railways Fair. 1. Daily Allowance (D.A.) of ₹250/- per day per person is admissible during repatriation
  • One time financial Assistance in the form of back ended subsidy to the registered boat owner of the U.T. of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu to re-construct/ replace their fishing vessels by new fishing vessels @ 25% maximum up to ₹10.00 lakh, with waiting period of five years
