Details

The scheme aims to establish new flower orchards by providing subsidies to farmers for expanding flower cultivation. A minimum area of 0.10 hectares is required for participation. The subsidy is based on the estimated costs of flower crops, with specific amounts allocated for different categories of farmers. Selected farmers will receive technical literature on flower cultivation practices, marketing, maintenance, and usage. Seeds and planting materials should be sourced from recommended nurseries and centers of excellence, with provisions for alternative sources in case of unavailability. Fertilizers should be used based on soil and water testing recommendations. The subsidy will first cover planting materials, with any remaining funds available for other inputs. The use of organic fertilizers like FYM and vermicompost will be calculated at specified rates. A board displaying the farmer's name, address, year of establishment, total area, crop, and variety name must be installed in the newly established flower orchards.
