The scheme “Establishment of Cell for SC/ST” is implemented by the Uttarakhand State Council for Science and Technology (UCOST) under the Science and Technology, Government of Uttarakhand. It aims to establish a dedicated cell to empower the Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) communities of Uttarakhand by addressing their fundamental challenges through scientific and technological interventions, promoting sustainable development, enhancing traditional knowledge, and providing skill development and entrepreneurship opportunities for inclusive growth.

Eligibility
- The beneficiaries must belong to a Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe community residing in any of the 13 districts of the Kumaon and Garhwal divisions of Uttarakhand.
(Mainly: more than 50% of the population)
Application Process
Offline
SC/ST communities living in the hilly areas of Uttarakhand will be the targeted beneficiaries at the district level, for which baseline data will be generated by selecting priority areas within these SC/ST communities.
