The scheme "Doodh Sanjeevani Yojana" was launched by the Department of Education, Government of Gujarat. The scheme aims to provide fortified, flavored, double toned pasteurized milk to students, pregnant women and lactating women. The scheme is implemented by the Anganwadi Centers and also by the Child Development Project Officers.

Benefits

  • For the Students (Education Department) ◦ The scheme aims to provide nutritious food to the students. ◦ The students get 200 milliliters of flavoured milk per day. ◦ The milk provided is fortified with added 3% fat 24 grams carbohydrate 7 grams protein
  • Vitamin A 500 International Units and Vitamin D 40 International Units. ◦ This provision is served five days in a week. For Women & their Child (Women & Child Development Department) ◦ Children in the age group of 6 months to 6 years registered at Anganwadi centers receive 100 milliliters of fortified flavored double toned pasteurized milk five days a week. ◦ Pregnant and lactating mothers registered at Anganwadi centers receive 200 milliliters of fortified flavored double toned pasteurized milk twice in a week

For the Students (Education Department)

◦ The scheme aims to provide nutritious food to the students.
◦ The students get 200 milliliters of flavoured milk per day.
◦ The milk provided is fortified with added 3% fat, 24 grams carbohydrate, 7 grams protein, Vitamin A 500 International Units, and Vitamin D 40 International Units.
◦ This provision is served five days in a week.

For Women & their Child (Women & Child Development Department)

◦ Children in the age group of 6 months to 6 years registered at Anganwadi centers receive 100 milliliters of fortified, flavored, double toned pasteurized milk, five days a week.
◦ Pregnant and lactating mothers registered at Anganwadi centers receive 200 

milliliters of fortified, flavored, double toned pasteurized milk, twice in a week.

Eligibility

For the Students
◦ The student must be studying in an elementary school.
◦ The student must be studying in a Balvatika or in Standard 1st to 8th.
◦ The student must be a studying in a Government, Grant-in-Aid, or Primary School located in one of the 28 talukas of the developing tribal areas of Gujarat.

For Women & their Child
◦ The applicant must be a child registered at an Anganwadi center between 6 months and 6 years of age.
◦ The applicant must be a pregnant mother/lactating mother registered at an Anganwadi center.

Offline

  1. The intended beneficiaries receive the fortified, flavored milk directly at the premises (school or Anganwadi center) upon meeting eligibility criteria, and therefore typically do not need to apply separately for this scheme.
