विवरण
Due to the geographical conditions of the rivers and streams located in tribal areas, which have a steep slope, rainwater flows away quickly and is wasted. Additionally, the land near the streams is eroded. To prevent this damage and to collect rainwater, water harvesting structures (such as anicuts) are constructed. The construction of these structures not only increases the groundwater level in the area but also allows the stored water to be used for irrigating the agricultural land of farmers. Repairs and restoration work is also carried out for the water harvesting structures built in previous years to ensure their full utilization.
