Application Process

Online

Step 1: Online Application Submission
Visit the official website of the Directorate of Higher Education, Government of Assam, and complete the online application form within the specified application period with all required personal, academic, and bank account details.
Step 2: Document Upload and Verification
Upload scanned copies of all required documents including Permanent Resident Certificate, mark sheets, institutional certificate, photograph, and signature as per the prescribed format and specifications.
Step 3: Application Form Printout
After successful online submission, take a printout of the completed application form and ensure all information is accurate and complete before proceeding to the next step.
Step 4: Physical Submission to Institution
Submit the printed application form along with necessary copies of certificates and testimonials to the Registrar, Principal, or Head of the Institution where currently enrolled for verification and forwarding.
Step 5: Institutional Verification and Forwarding
The Registrar, Principal, or Head of the Institution will collect, verify, and submit the hard copies of online forms along with all relevant certificates and testimonials under their seal and signature to the Directorate of Higher Education, Assam, Kahilipara, Guwahati - 781019.
Step 6: Selection Process
The selection committee will evaluate applications strictly on the basis of merit in all cases and selection will be restricted as per budget allocation for the respective categories.
Step 7: Benefit Disbursement
Selected beneficiaries will receive scholarship amounts through Direct Benefit Transfer system directly to their registered bank accounts on a monthly basis.
