The scheme "Boarding House Stipend" by the Tribal Welfare Department, Government of Tripura, aims to provide accommodation to ST boys and girls in hostels from remote areas, provide residential facilities to ST students whose residence is beyond 3 km of the school, and reduce dropout rates. Through this scheme, a Boarding House Stipend per day per student (inclusive of LPG subsidy and sweeping/cleaning allowance per day) is provided, covering up to 322 days (approximately 10 months) in an academic year to students from Class I to XII accommodated in Government-run hostels and approved NGO-run boarding houses. - The applicant’s residence must be the resident of Tripura.

The concerned DM/SDM will collect the list of students from the Govt. run hostel and approved NGO-run Boarding Houses and send the list to the Directorate of Tribal Welfare.
